Urban Bride {Utah Wedding Photographer}

Look at me with 2 posts in one day! I had so much fun working with this gorgeous couple downtown this morning! It was so fun to use the lighting techniques I learned at the Rock that OCF workshop. I really had a lot of fun doing some urban bridals, but we did get some yummy back light and some softer pictures too, it was a great mix! It's just a sneak peek, but there are sooo many more amazing shots to come! Make sure to see the new post below too! SImply Beautiful {Utah maternity photographer}

I had the chance yesterday to shoot an amazing photographer friend of mine, Jessica. It makes me sad she lives all the way on the other side of the states......She happened to be here for one day, she shot four sessions and we fit her own session somewhere in the middle, and she's pregnant (she's a rock star). Anyways, I just ADORE this shot, oh wow she's so stunning. A true testament to me that every woman should have her picture taken while pregnant, such a beautiful time to capture. Thanks again Jess, you are such a sweetheart!

Some FuN stuff I did today {Utah newborn photographer}

Well today has been a good day. First it started off with an intense day at bootcamp, I'm trying to lose a few inches this summer, but unfortunately I keep finding them....

Then I got to work with the cutest newborn. My sweet neighbor Shannon had the most beautiful little boy with mounds of curly locks. He didn't want to be unswaddled though so we got a few of him just as cozy and snuggled as can be.

Then it was out to play in the sprinklers with my sweetest munchkin, well I wouldn't truthfully call her sweet lately....oh boy the terrible 2's are in full swing. I just have this phrase on repeat in mind constantly lately....."it's only a phase, it's only a phase." She actually spit on the ground at WalMart the other day she was so frustrated about something silly......but then she goes and tells me I'm her best friend followed by a huge hug and a sloppy kiss...... Oh I love her so!

You'll have to head out to Melrose Ave. ( and several other locations) and watch out for this picture! My cutest nephew has signed with an awesome agency in LA. So anyways they asked if they could use my picture of him for their billboards advertising their agency. UM....I was flattered to say the least. So needless to say my sweet nephew Riley and I are so excited. He has seen it ( he's been living down there part time going on auditions over the summer) and said it looks awesome! So if you just happen to be on Melrose Ave. in L.A. anytime soon, keep your eyes peeled!

I'm a slacker

Ok so I've been a bit of a blog slacker and I'm so sorry. I have so many pictures to share from a few new sessions and some old too. But here's just one of the CUTEST couple, they were full of smiles and sooo in love! It's a bummer though, they will be separated for most of their engagement, one in New York and one in Utah....too many miles! Hope this helps you feel just a bit closer. I should have more soon!

Whew....that was a jam packed but FUN weekend!

Well the Ali Hohn workshop has come and gone and WOW my head is spinning with info. I really did have so much fun! Ali is a sweetheart and I got to meet so many other amazing photographers too. It's always fun to be around other people who share your same passion/obsession. Thanks again to Ali and the other photographers. I had a bit of time today to work on a few of my many favorites, now I'm off to get ready for an engagment session tonight....keep your fingers crossed for no rain!

We got caught in the middle of a serious downpour so we headed for cover in a used book store. It was a challenge but fun!

This picture is a good example of how I really plan to use this type of lighting we learned this last weekend. You know I love my amazing skies so now I know how to keep my subjects lit, well the right way anyways!

I also want to say, that I know you have many choices when it comes to choosing a photographer. I want you to know that I pride myself in one of a kind quality images. I only take a limited amount of sessions each month as well. This allows me to spend the extra amount of time and effort that is needed to create your work of art. I am a perfectionist and I pour my heart and sould into my images, often times spending 30 minutes editing a single image. I would love to work with you to create beautiful, timeless memories!

I had so much fun last weekend! {Utah wedding and family photographer}

Well I am home and have sooo much to get done before the Ali Hohn workshop this weekend. But while I was gone I had a blast shooting a bit. My sweetest cousin got married in a beautiful country wedding (Congrats you guys!) and I spent about 5 minutes with them snapping away. Then I had so much fun with a sweet family too. The mom is a great photographer from Vegas and I seriously wonder how she does it all, running a successful photography business and she has 3 kids under the age of 3! She's a rock star and a sweetheart, thanks again Meghan! And a HUGE thank you to my sister who was such an awesome assistant to me! I have a million more to pictures share but it will probably be after the workshop so check back for more images from my last sessions and also some from the workshop!

Filling up fast {Utah photographer}

Just wanted to give everyone a quick heads up that my summer sessions for June, July and August are almost full. I will only be taking few more sessions. Please email me if you are interested in a summer session. On that same note I am already booking into fall for limited dates as well. I will also have a small price increase for any sessions scheduled from Sept. through Dec. 2009 those prices are now current on my Fall/Winter 2009 Price List. I may open more dates in the future but for now my calendar is filling up fast. Please email me with any inquiries you may have. I will be out of town this Sat. Through Wed. but will have limited access to email so I will be getting all emails as I am able. I will be booking available dates on a first come first serve basis. And just a few pictures of my sweetie! We've waiting for the poppies to bloom, too bad it has been overcast for the whole week, I'm going back up when the sun is shining bright too!

I am so sorry I have been MIA lately I have just been so busy with just regular old daily grind stuff. I did also get a new 24" imac computer....so excited!! But the transition has got me a little confused and it's taking me a while to get used to it all. But I did get to shoot this beautiful wedding last weekend and I wanted to post my favorite image of the day, I should have more to come soon. Congratulations you guys, you really have been so, so, so much fun to work with!
