Yesterday, I had the pleasure to mentor Julie from Oklahoma, (Thanks again, I had a blast with you!!) We lucked out with beautiful weather and headed down town. We worked with my favorite little model ever. Not only is she beautiful, she is such a natural and just so polite and sweet. I have worked with her many times before and hope to for years to come! I had to post a ton, couldn't choose just a few, so I hope you enjoy!!

Going on Vacation! {Utah Children photographer}

Wow, I have been so busy lately, so unfortunately the blog is a bit behind! Sorry about that. I've got a small sneak peek of a cutie I shot this week. Also I was invited to speak at the Scrap Girl Convention yesterday. I spoke about tips and tricks to shooting in manual and a good handful of other things. It was a blast, what a fun group of ladies (there were about 150+ ladies and a few guys too). So thank you all for the invitation to speak, it was fun ( a bit nerve wracking too) but mostly fun!

Also I will be away from my computer and my phone from tomorrow Sat. Oct. 10th until Fri. Oct 16th. We are taking a family vacation to San Diego.....oh I can't wait!! Lots of beach going', the zoo, sea world to do, and mostly just getting away from the responsabilties of life to just relax and chill, well except for all of the running around after a 3 year old we will be doing......Oh and thanks to my assistant Chellese for her awesome suggestion to bury my sweeties binky at the beach. Yep, I know it's bad my daughter is HOOKED like crazy to her binky (just at night though so never during the day) the more we talk about taking it away the more she's attached to it.....I am OVER that. So my cute assistant Chellese suggested we bury it at the beach when we go...GREAT IDEA!!! So this morning I talked to my daughter about burying her binky at the beach.....and......she is SO excited that she gets to grow a binky tree at the beach. She actually rounded up a few binkies and said she wanted to plant more binky trees! Oh I so hope this works! I told her I would take a picture of her planting her binky tree...she's so cute!

So if you have any questions or emails while I am gone, I will get back with you as soon as I get home Fri. Oct 16th.

Firty Four......{Utah Child Photographer}

Well today I turn Firty Four (34), as my sweetheart says anyways. I keep telling her that sounds waaay to close to Fourty Four...... not yet sweetie (thank goodness)! Well about a week ago I went up to Park Silly (a street fair up in Park City) with my baby and hubby. I hoped she would be up for letting me do a mini session with her so I prettied her up in some new Matilda Jane duds and I crossed my fingers. She was an angel, she must have known my birthday was coming up or something. She not only cooperated but she actually had so much fun! Well who wouldn't with hula hoops, sidewalk chalk, cotton candy, poodles with mohawks the size of ponies.......

I am soooo in love with every picture, I can't wait to make an album of these shots. I love how they tell such a fun story and I will forever remember what a big girl she was that day, so beautiful, so sweet, and so mine!

(SO it's 2am and I cannot pull myself away from looking at these pictures, I'm sitting here with tears falling down my cheeks, wondering what I ever did to deserve the most wonderful daughter ever, she's the best birthday present a girl could ask for, I love you a million times baby!)

So funny!!

I should be sleeping {Utah Family Photographer}

Well it's been a crazy few days for me. Session on Sunday, session on Monday, and surgery for my husband this morning......and I'm still awake. Call me crazy but I just can't sleep. My sweet mother in law stayed with my husband tonight at the hospital recovering so I could come home to my little girl. I will be back to him bright and early but I just couldn't sleep tonight. He did pretty good but was very sick today and pretty medicated. Well, I thought I'd get some work done tonight so he can have my FULL attention this coming week.

So anyways, I stayed up working on a few sessions. I spend the evening last night with a FUN family from Canada. This sweet families mom Shellie, is an awesome photographer! Check her out here! Anyways I was so flattered when she chose me from a long list of talented Utah photographers to shoot her family while they're here on vacation. The session was so much fun and full of energy with her adorable 4 boys, we grabbed some greats shots and had a blast! Thanks again, Shellie......I wish you didn't live soooo far away! ( And a huge thanks to my awesome assistant Chellese too!) Here's the pics, love, love, love em!

A sweet little session {Utah child photographer}

I had to share just a couple pictures from my session last night, so dang cute if you ask me! I have a zillion more to share from this session so watch for those to come soon. It was mom's idea for the ice cream and I was so excited! Well we saved it the end (and you can see why) but it was so hot it turned into cream, hardly any ice left. But I think it made for some sweet (and a little sticky) pictures! Thanks again you guys last night was fun!

On a little side note, my husband will be having neck surgery tomorrow, so needless to say I will be away from my computer for a few days. I will answer all calls and emails as I am able, please keep my hubby in your thoughts (:

Some FuN stuff I did today {Utah newborn photographer}

Well today has been a good day. First it started off with an intense day at bootcamp, I'm trying to lose a few inches this summer, but unfortunately I keep finding them....

Then I got to work with the cutest newborn. My sweet neighbor Shannon had the most beautiful little boy with mounds of curly locks. He didn't want to be unswaddled though so we got a few of him just as cozy and snuggled as can be.

Then it was out to play in the sprinklers with my sweetest munchkin, well I wouldn't truthfully call her sweet lately....oh boy the terrible 2's are in full swing. I just have this phrase on repeat in mind constantly lately....."it's only a phase, it's only a phase." She actually spit on the ground at WalMart the other day she was so frustrated about something silly......but then she goes and tells me I'm her best friend followed by a huge hug and a sloppy kiss...... Oh I love her so!

So anyways they asked if they could use my picture of him for their billboards advertising their agency. UM....I was flattered to say the least. So needless to say my sweet nephew Riley and I are so excited. He has seen it ( he's been living down there part time going on auditions over the summer) and said it looks awesome! So if you just happen to be on Melrose Ave. in L.A. anytime soon, keep your eyes peeled!
